Kanika Hotels is proud to announce that the long-established Alexander the Great Beach Hotel in Pafos will undergo a major programme of renovations and upgrades. Completed in March 2013, the changes will enhance the Hotel’s standing as a prime seafront escape in Pafos.

The details of the extensive programme are designed to deliver new dimensions of contemporary elegance; but the object is to combine the beauty of superior modern facilities with Kanika’s decades of experience in guest-centred hospitality. Alexander the Great has already charmed innumerable guests with its unique seafront location, its upgraded new HB & FB Plus concept, its spectacular entertainment and personalized service. Soon these winning features will be accompanied by upgraded accommodation and stunning new outdoor facilities. The result will be a hotel with its own distinctive style of luxury. A hotel that is determined to maintain its reputation as one of the best and most alluring hotels in Cyprus.

The following project description covers only the most important key features of the expansion and upgrading plans. The actual renovations and expansions include numerous other features and details that are far too many to describe. To give you an idea of what you can expect, we have summarized the programme and broken it down into five main categories.

All guest rooms will be completely re-built and upgraded with a series of new luxury facilities and amenities. These include:

More spacious and luxurious bathrooms with natural daylight coming through full-size windows, as well as large rain-shower systems, larger bathtubs, sound system, exclusive toiletries, all incorporated within an elegant interior design. Substantially larger wardrobes with built-in lighting. Dedicated minibar counter with complimentary tea & coffee making facilities. Elegant new furniture that underlines comfort and a ‘home away from home’ ambience. With an inviting 4-poster bed, free-standing bedside tables and a large chair with ottoman, instant relaxation is guaranteed. In-room equipment will include a 32” wide flat screen TV with an advanced entertainment system and internet and an iPod docking station, all connected with a high quality sound system in both the room and the bathroom. The interior décor delivers a refined and warm new look with emphasis on light earthy colours that blend in with the soothing panoramic views of the Mediterranean Sea. High quality tiles and carpet flooring beautifully complement the stylish new fabrics.

One of the most exciting new features at Alexander the Great will be the brand new outdoor infinity pool, an irresistible invitation to bathe in the sun and enjoy an unparalleled leisure experience. Top quality construction materials match the attractive classic design, while the elevated position and infinity edges ensure a perfect view from the pool to the endless blue sea. One end of the pool features a themed swim-up bar across the whole width of the pool.

In-house entertainment is an integral part of the Alexander experience. To this end, a spectacular new outdoor entertainment venue will stage a variety of entertainment shows to make every evening memorable. Hi-tech sound and lighting systems will provide hints of Broadway, while the large yet cosy seating area with relaxing bamboo furniture will be marked by an overall ambience that is hard to match. The variety of shows will include family fun shows, grand cabaret style shows, musical & tribute shows, magicians, hypnotists and much more. For families with 2- to 12-year-old children, a new and exciting kids club will be developed in a separate and secure area of the Hotel.

The kids club will feature indoor and outdoor facilities that are designed to invite our young guests into a fantasyland of children’s entertainment. Experienced and family-focused supervisors offer kids an all-day programme of indoor and outdoor activities that are tailored to the skills and preferences of different age groups, suppor ted by the level of supervision required to keep everyone happy and safe.
